Led by the pioneering Prof. Michael Grätzel, the LPI lab at EPFL serves as a global cornerstone of photovoltaic research, achieving world-record efficiencies in both p-i-n and n-i-p perovskite solar cell (PSC) configurations while providing the high-level academic consulting and engineering validation necessary to integrate these tandem cells into advanced electrochemical systems.
Main role in SUNPEROM: Fabrication the 2-T perovskite tandem cell; Development of top and middle perovskite stack of the SUNPEROM tandem device; Development of the SUNPEROM demonstrator; Leader of WP2.

PI: Dr. Mojtaba Abdi Jalebi
The Functional Materials and Energy Device (FMED) group at UCL, led by Dr. Mojtaba Abdi-Jalebi, specializes in the discovery and multi-scale characterization of novel nanostructured materials to engineer high-efficiency perovskite solar cells and integrated (photo)electrochemical systems for sustainable green fuel production.
Main role in SUNPEROM: Development and characterization of electrocatalysts and multifunctional GDL; Advanced materials and device characterizations; Scalable deposition, stability assessment and standard validation of GDL; Leader of WP3.
Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) / Université Paris-Saclay
PI: Dr. Mohamed Nawfal GHAZZAL
Dr. Mohamed Nawfal Ghazzal, an Associate Professor at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of Université Paris-Saclay, focuses on the synthesis and advanced characterization of single-atom catalysts and novel bio-inspired photocatalysts designed to optimize charge carrier separation for efficient electrocatalysis systems, specifically targeting $CO_2$ reduction reactions and green hydrogen generation.
Main role in SUNPEROM: Development of NIR photocatalysts, plasmonic oxides nanocrystals and single atom electrocatalysts; Advanced characterization; Fabrication and standard evaluation of the SUNPEROM tandem device, Leader of WP1; Leading of the dissemination activities (WP6).

Main role in SUNPEROM: LCA of the SUNPEROM system and socio-economic analyses; controlling of ethics and safety requirements; Leading of WP5.
